The history of AJS and the cammys has been covered so well in Gordon Mills' excellent history that it is pointless to repeat it here. Instead we shall cover interesting information available nowhere else that we know of. So, without further ado....
Henry Pinnington owned and raced a 1929 349cc, 4 speed AJS between 1930-33. Later he was to race in the Grand Prix of Europe and the TT, pre and post war on other mounts including Nortons and Excelsiors. Here is a list of the race results we know of on the above bike, which still exists today: -
